The Church Is A Man!

The Church Is A Man!

Eph 4: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto ( INTO) a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

The church is a man!

It’s not a building.

It’s not a series of activities.

The church is the resurrected man Christ Jesus revealed to the world in His glory.

This is the one thing that makes the church the most powerful institution in the world.

It is the one thing that makes her to stand out from all else in the universe.

To see the church as anything less than the revelation of the resurrected man Christ Jesus, in His glory, to a lost and dying world, is to miss out on the great purpose for which God created the church for.

To that end, every local church must strive towards becoming the expression of that man in the community in where she is placed at accordance to God’s calling for that local church.

If every church in the world expresses that man, the earth becomes filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.

Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

One way that the man, Christ Jesus, is revealed in His glory to the world by a local church, is when that church is fitly framed together.

The word “fitly framed together” pertains to the growth of the local church in the revelation of Christ Jesus, as each member of that the local body supplies his or her part to that revelation in accordance to the gifts and ministries, which the Lord has given to each.

The church is fitly,or properly fitted, to bring the effective revelation of Christ Jesus.

This is what Paul means in verse sixteen when he uses the term “every joint supplieth.”

Each member of the local body supplies the revelation of Christ Jesus through her spiritual gifts and ministries.

Everyone must participate in the revelation of the man, Christ Jesus.

There are no spectators in Christ’s body.

One spectator will rob the church and the community where she is at, of the full expression of the resurrected man, Christ Jesus.

The church a school where everyone is trained and activated in their spiritual gifts to bring the revelation of the man, Christ Jesus.

In the present bystander model of the church, very few minister and few bring the revelation of the man Christ Jesus through their giftings and ministries.

So most local churches do not reveal the man, Christ Jesus, and are not effective in their communities because they don’t function in the uniqueness which they are supposed to have.

Spiritual gifts take the revelation of Christ within the person and propels it out of the person as glory to the world.

“According to the effectual working in the measure of every part,” means that each member in the local body has the responsibility to work within their church at his or her “PEAK LEVEL OF SPIRIT LED PERFORMANCE,” in the revelation of Christ.

Church leaders must be the grand directors, the mediators, or conductors, of this beautiful orchestra, the body of Christ, as she reveals the Person of Christ to the world through the ministries of all.

They are the facilitators of this great symphony.

This must be the objective of church leaders today if the church is to express the uniqueness that she has and not get drowned in the obscurity of not standing out and being differebe by this uniqueness.
