Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and effectual, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
If you are not in God’s Word it won’t accomplish the division between your soul and spirit.
God’s Spirit lives in your spirit, not your soul.
Without that division you won’t be able to distinguish between God’s voice from that of your emotions, and won’t be on target with God.
Everything will be muddled.
2Th 2:8 And then the lawless one will be unveiled, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth, and will destroy by the brightness of His coming,
1Jo 3:8 He who practices sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God appeared, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
The presence of Jesus is what makes the devil’s works ineffective.
Without spending time in His presence, you won’t become free.
Eph 5:26 in order that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water by the word,
If you are not in God’s Word you won’t be washed from your sins and hurts by the water which only His Word provides.
Mt 4:4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’
If you are not in God’s Word you won’t find fullness of life.
Luke 5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have labored all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will lower the net.”
6 And when they had done this, they caught a great multitude of fish, and their net was tearing.
If you are not in God’s Word you will miss the abundance which comes only through His Word.
Joh 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what ever you may desire, and it shall be done for you.
If you are not in God’s Word, your prayers won’t always be answered
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
If you are not in God’s Word, you won’t have your sword.
Matt 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
If you are not in God’s Word and presence the devil will envelope you with passivity.
You won’t be able to seize God’s kingdom and make it your own.
The kingdom suffers from violence and only the spiritually violent, not the passive, snatch it.
Pr 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish ( slack): but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Without God’s progressive future vision people become slack.
If you are not in God’s Word and presence the devil will envelope you with passivity.
If you are passive and complacent you won’t have a progressive vision for your future and will become complacent and bored.
Mr 16:14 Afterwards He appeared to the eleven as they were reclining at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness (sclerosis) of heart, because they did not believe those who saw Him after He had been raised.
Eph 4:18 having been darkened in understanding, being estranged from the life of God, because of the ignorance which is in them, because of the hardness (psorosis) of their heart;
If you are not in God’s Word and become becomes passive, your heart will become fat and unresponsive to God’s voice and you will develop spiritual sclerosis and psorosis.
