You Have The Faith of Lazarus, Dont Lie to Yourself!

Luke 16:20  But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores, who had been placed at his gate,

21  and longing to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. And even the dogs came and would lick his sores.

Romans 3:27  Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. Through what law? Of works? No, but through the law of faith.

When I lived in Kenya, I heard a wonderful teaching by a friend of mine, Donald Wathome.

We know this story of Lazarus, the guy who was covered with sores and the dogs licked his wounds.

Now, Romans 3:27 tells us that faith is a law.

A law says that under specific circumstances, specific results always take place.

If one breaks the law of the speed limit, and if there is a cop with a radar gun, you will get nailed.

Old Lazarus knew about the law of faith. He lived in it.

His faith level was to receive the crumbs of food which fell from the rich man’s table.

And guess what, that’s exactly what he got.

He received, what he believed for, based on  the law of faith.

God honored his faith. LOL!

We laugh at Lazarus, but most of us are him. We know about the law of faith.

When push comes to shove our thinking is so unlike God’s.

Our faith level is grounded on receiving crumbs.

The Christ who is within us, is lavish, extravagant, supernatural, limitless and able to do all.

To think like Him takes  a massive renewing or overhaul of our mind, by the Word of God.

What  if we thought like Him and had a faith like His?

This is what Christ wants and expects from us.

I got to thank Lazarus for pointing out who I was, who I still struggle with, and who I need to get rid of.

What about you? Are you ready to stop longing for the crumbs?
