What about if this Easter we get Jesus off His Cross.

I taught yesterday on one of Jesus’s Seven Words from the Cross. While I awaited my turn, the Lord suddenly popped a vision before me.

I had to change my teaching because of it.

As with all of the Lord’s things, it was simple, yet powerful.

Jesus was on the cross and dying. Not only did He wear a crown of thorns but had His body wrapped in thorns. His bleeding torso, his arms and legs were bound with many swaths of them. So much were the thorns that I knew the soldiers would not be able to get Him off the cross. Jesus was trapped to it.

Troubled by the vision, I pondered for understanding.

The Holy Spirit said, “The body of Jesus full of thorns is the church. My Son set the church free from pain, and those within her should be walking in and enjoy the freedom which I gave to her. Yet for many in my body, they hold on to their pain, they don’t repent or forgive others, they don’t know the cost of the breakthrough. So what you have in my church is the body of my Son still full of pain and for all intents and purposes still on the cross, forever more bleeding and dying.”

Dear friends, let us remember that Jesus wore the crown of thorns so that you would not have to. Jesus suffered so that you can be made whole. Jesus was whipped so that you can be healed.

It’s not enough to talk about it; God has called the church to be a living example of it.

What about if this Easter we get Jesus off the cross of pain and into the grave so that with Him we can experience resurrection glory, and by it, draw all men unto Him.
