Genesis 3:24 So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the Garden of Eden cherubims and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Re 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the Tree of Life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.’
I realize that I live in such scarcity. When man sinned he not only lost access to intimacy with God, but was summarily kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Eden comes from the word hedonism; the belief that happiness and pleasure is the highest good. Indeed with God the purest and highest pleasures and happiness known to man are reached. I enjoy intimacy with God but still saw myself as one kicked out from the Garden of Eden, or Paradise of God. Though God in Christ reinstated me to the Garden, I have survived as an alien of His Paradise. I have kept myself in scarcity when the Garden is one of abundance and the highest pleasures and happiness all found in Christ. Oh God, open my blind eyes to see and stop living in scarcity.
