Beats Me Why Would Not Everyone Want To Live In This City?

Rev 21:10  He carried me by his power away to a large, high mountain. He showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven.

He carried me to a high mega mountain and showed me that megapolis, the New Jerusalem.

Rev 21:11  It had the glory of God. Its light was like a valuable gem, like gray quartz, as clear as crystal.

The luminosity or the light bulb of this megapolis shines as crystalline jasper with God’s glory.

There is no need for street lights or our strict new regulatory CFL bulb!

Jasper: An opaque cryptocrystalline variety of quartz that may be red, yellow, or brown. ( Answers.Com)

Rev 21:12  It had a large, high wall with 12 gates. Twelve angels were at the gates. The names of the 12 tribes of Israel were written on the gates.

Rev 21:13  There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

Rev 21:14  The wall of the city had 12 foundations. The 12 names of the 12 apostles of the lamb were written on them.

Rev 21:15  The angel who was talking to me had a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.

Rev 21:16  The city was square. It was as wide as it was long. He measured the city with the stick. It was 12,000 stadia long. Its length, width, and height were the same.

The megapolis is 1400 miles long, and 1400 miles wide and 1400 miles high. A perfect cube of a city!  I figured the size to be 2.74 x ten to seventh power cubic miles.

Rev 21:17  He measured its wall. According to human measurement, which the angel was using, it was 144 cubits.

The wall is either 216 feet either thick or high!

Rev 21:18  Its wall was made of gray quartz. The city was made of pure gold, as clear as glass.

The structure of the wall is of jasper.

Gold in its absolute pure state is transparent. Can you imagine a city made out of 36 karat gold?   This megapolis as a cube, is 1400 miles long, wide and high.  How much pure gold does it take to make a cube of this size? Move over Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and everybody else.

Rev 21:19  The foundations of the city wall were beautifully decorated (cosmetically) with all kinds of gems: The first foundation was gray quartz, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,

The first foundation of the 216 foot wall is glittering speckled jasper!

The second foundation is the exquisite blue sapphire!

The third is beautiful banded agate!

The fourth is hyper extravagant green emerald!

Rev 21:20  the fifth onyx, the sixth red quartz, the seventh yellow quartz, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth green quartz, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

The fifth is the stunning black onyx.

The sixth  sizzling red carnelian!

The seventh is glowing amber yellow topaz!

The eight is glittering green, blue, yellow, red, and white beryl!

The ninth is the astounding olive green peridot!

The tenth is the apple green chrysoprase!

The eleventh is the shimmering purple amethyst!

Finally, the twelfth is the pulsating orange garnet!

Rev 21:21  The 12 gates were 12 pearls. Each gate was made of one pearl. The street of the city was made of pure gold, as clear as glass.

Can you imagine  twelve huge gates being twelve huge pearls? They were not made of huge pearls, they are huge pearls!

The broad street in this 1400 by 1400 mile megapolis is pure 36 karat transparent gold!

Rev 21:22  I did not see any temple in it, because the Lord God Almighty and the lamb are its temple.

Rev 21:23  The city doesn’t need any sun or moon to give it light because the glory of God gave it light. The lamb was its lamp.

There is no need for the sun or the moon to shine.

Neither is there need for Thomas Alva Edison’s mercury light bulbs or the newer (CFL) Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs.

God’s glory is this megapolis light bulb!

Rev 21:24  The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.

The kings of the earth bring all of their wealth into this megapolis. Move over Wall Street!

Rev 21:25  Its gates will be open all day. They will never close because there won’t be any night there.

Rev 21:26  They will bring the glory and wealth of the nations into the holy city.

Rev 21:27  Nothing unclean, no one who does anything detestable, and no liars will ever enter it. Only those whose names are written in the lamb’s Book of Life will enter it.

It beats me why would not everyone want to live in this city?

So many are so upset with God at what He is giving out!

As another commented, ….”So many, are so resistant, to such love!!”

Also, why would a nation want to kick out such a great architect and call it separation of church and state? It must be that there’s lots of hurting people out there!

Heck, I am not dumb, I’ll live in this city!
