“Woman, what have I to do with thee?”

The keys to successful spiritual warfare are found below

My wife Mary says that spiritual warfare is doing the opposite.

2Co 9:7  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful (hilaros) giver.

If you are stingy become a cheerful or as the Greek says a hilarious giver.

If you are fearful of speaking, ask God to give you a teaching ministry. I am global Bible teacher who was a severe stutterer most of his life.

The devil hates when we do the opposite to what he tempts with. This is effective warfare.

The famed King James phrase “what have I to do with thee” is translated as “what or any to me and to you.”

Mr 5:7  And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.

Greek: What to me and to you

Lu 8:28  When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not.

Joh 2:4  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

Greek: What or Any to me and to you

What, as an interrogative pronoun, inquires  the who, which, or what; of what content, and of which sort, or what type.

There is no connection or agreement in content, type, or sort of anything, between the devil and the Son of God. The demons recognized that and shuddered!

John 14:30  Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

…For the chief of this world system comes and in me he absolutely does not have the tiniest connection, agreement, or even the tiniest thing in common.

In John, it is Jesus who ratifies that there is not even the tiniest agreement or connection between Him and the forces of darkness.

In other words, Jesus had no open doors to the demonic.

The biggest part of our walking in liberty is to close every possible door of connection, agreement or thing in common with sin, the love of the word, and the forces of darkness. Obviously, perfection in the life is not possible, but we must strive every day to say “what have I to do with thee?”
