Mysteries are the doctrines of God’s patterns and administrations of His kingdom, will, and counsels. They are also the Christ and the riches, blessings, and treasures, of God deposited inside of Him.
They are brought to life through revelation knowledge, and display the scriptural patterns or the economy of God’s kingdom.
Christ also dwells in a mystery form within us. Within Him dwell of God’s riches, treasures and blessings. As He is revealed out from a mystery form these things are revealed along with Him.
As we have discussed before, the Person of Christ has within Himself all the treasures and riches of who God is, and of what He possesses.
These treasures, the Greek scriptures tell us, are undetectable, un- searchable, and unreachable through all of our fleshly efforts.
Only through a spirit of revelation into the mystery of the Person of Christ can these treasures be manifested out to the body through the preaching of the gospel.
The purpose of this revelation is to make everyone else within the local body aware as to what is their part, participation, share, and calling into the riches of Christ is.
They are manifested through revelation knowledge, and glorify or make God visible.
God has deposited IN THIS MYSTERY FORM, His fullness, or His inheritance within His saints.
Through revelation knowledge this inheritance becomes revealed and becomes one of God’s riches within us. The revelation of a mystery is our understanding of a portion of God’s inheritance. We carry out the riches of God into the external world through spiritual gifts, making any one of His riches visible in the mode of glory.
8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Wisdom has to do with God’s will, ways, and timing. Prudence is carrying out this wisdom “in the Spirit.” God’s labor in us produces His will, His ways, and timing. Prudence causes us to walk step by step in Christ’s labor. This is termed to walk in the Spirit.
God’s superhuman labor, also termed as grace, takes from His inheritance in us, which is His fullness, reveals it from its mystery form and displays it via spiritual gifts through us as His riches.
Praise is produced through mankind back to God of the glory manifested through the saints. Glory is the God’s mode to make His riches becoming visible. The greatest purpose and calling of the church is to make God and His riches visible.
Different riches are manifested through the different operations of God. Operations are effective displays of God’s power through the believer to effectively transfer the riches from inside the believer to the external world in accordance to the specific ministerial circumstances.
The transferred riches, which inside the believer were part of God’s inheritance in a mystery form, now empowered externally by the operations of God are made visible as the glory of God.
The normal mode of God’s labor in us as we walk in prudence is to produce abundance and superabundance.
God has funneled all the riches of his grace into us, and then makes known and manifests this mystery through the church so that the fullness of the God’s glory may be manifested through the church.
The revelations of riches are limited by operation in wisdom and prudence.
The apostolic anointing must function on the fact that ministry is not to be placed in the hands of a few but in the hands of the body. The fullness of the Person of Christ Jesus can only be revealed by the fullness of the ministries of the body. The church must be a school
The apostle and the prophet both reveal FROM A MYSTERY FORM, the wisdom of God, and the Person of Christ in whom all of God’s treasures and riches dwell.
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, (instrumentality) and in you all. (Domain and location)
Biblical baptism always entails the imbuement or submersion of one object into a second object. The submergence or immersion of the first item into a second item places the first item into the location or inside the world or domain where the second item resides.
Once, within the sphere of the second item’s world, this latter one can now exercise its influence back upon the first one, even to the point of changing the first item to resemble it, by permeating it with its qualities and characteristics.
The effect of the second item working its effect and influence back through to the first item as it permeates it and changes it is called the instrumentality of the second object.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us
All of God’s fullness is permanently resident within Christ, and Christ resides within His saints.
Spiritual gifts are used to take portions of God’s inheritance that we now know as His riches, energize them with His dunamis power, and make them visible as riches in glory. The fullness of God, which God now deposited in the saints, becomes the inheritance.
Ephesians 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
The church is His body, and has been with God’s fullness or His inheritance in a mystery form to make His glory fully visible.
Glory, is the revelation, first, of God’s glory within the believer in the IMAGE of CHRIST, so that this it can then be fully manifested through the church in the mode of glory into a lost and dying world via spiritual gifts.
The action of God’s fullness when unhindered is to fill every part of every believer with His glory, and then to fill every aspect of the whole world with His glory, utilizing the church.
As we walk in the will and prudence of God we understand more and more the mysteries found within the labor of Christ that pertains to His will.
The revelation of a mystery is our understanding of a part of God’s inheritance. Our understanding of a mystery becomes one of God’s riches. We carry out the riches of God into the external world through one a spiritual gift resulting in God’s glory.
The more that we understand the mystery of His will, and execute in the riches that make God visible the more that we will live in the superabundance of God.
Obedience, riches, revelation, participation, through the fellowship of the mystery, the work of the ministry, building up into more revelation, more riches and so forth. This is the unending function of the church.
9 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
A dispensation is defined as the administration or the management of a house or property. In God’s management or administration that focuses on the fullness of times, He will sum up all things into and for Himself.
God uses His saints, His church, to make manifest, progressively known, and effectively operational within the universe the ongoing activity and consummation of this part of His administration.
For this purpose we have received the fullness of God, His inheritance in us, so that through us may be manifested, and may be made operational this part of God’s administration in the saints.
The purpose of manifesting God’s glory to the universe through the church is that God may be progressively known, as the church walks in prudence, by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that in this knowledge of God by the church, He might gather in one all things in Christ.
God uses His saints, His church, to make manifest, progressively known, and effectively operational within the universe the ongoing activity and consummation of this part of His administration.
Ephesians 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
The saints are the element in which God’s fullness is deposited, energized and made known as riches in the mode of glory. The manifestation of God’s glory is the effective external manifestation of God as gather in one all things in Christ.
The hope of the calling is the call and invitation of God that is received with total obedience. When the call is received with obedience and ministry is accomplished in oneness and identicalness to the Spirit it becomes an effectual call, or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective, operational and carry out what it is supposed to do through us.
The hope of our calling becomes a reality through each saint’s obedient response to the call of God. The hope of our calling is based then upon an effectual call; or to those to whom God’s call has come with effect. It is the call of God to a believer or church that has been answered by a totally obedient response.
When the call is received with obedience, it becomes an effectual call or a call that is full of the powerful energy of God to make it effective, operational and carry out what it is supposed to carry out through the saint.
The transferred riches, which inside the believer were part of God’s inheritance, now empowered externally by the operations of God are made visible as the glory of God.
Only the revelation of God’s mysteries in Christ establishes the church. The mysteries of God contain the prototype and archetypes of all that God has for humanity in their pre sin state. Christ is the prototype of every type of creation of God. In Him also dwell all the prototypes and archetypes of God’s creation in mystery forms. This is why the revelation of Christ is crucial. The more that Christ is revealed the more that all other prototypes of God are revealed with Him. As they are revealed Christ also manifests the prototypes as realities by fully working them out in the believer. This is His responsibility. Revelation and working out. Revelation comes by the renewing of the mind.
To work out out is to thoroughly accomplish. It is to bring to a successful execution, producing result and fruit. One does not leave a stone unturned, or fail to complete when working out. To work out is Strong’s number 2716.
I am amazed that many of the examples of working out have to do with sin and its effects in mankind.
Ro 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought <2716> in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Ro 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working <2716> death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
Ro 7:15 For that which I do <2716> I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Ro 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do <2716> it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Ro 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do <2716> it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
2Co 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh <2716> for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
2Co 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh <2716> repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh <2716> death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought <2716> in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
We observe God working out His prototypes and archetypes which are locked in the Son of His love, Jesus Christ.
2Co 5:5 Now he that hath wrought <2716> us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Ro 15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath <2716> not wrought <2716> by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
2Co 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought <2716> among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done <2716> all, to stand.
Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out <2716> your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh ( energize) in you both to will and to do ( energize) of his good pleasure.
What is energized by the church are the archetypes and prototypes of God’s creation before the fall of Adam.
Praise to God is extracted by this revealed glory in the sphere of the saints.
The normal mode of God’s labor in us as we walk in prudence is to produce abundance and superabundance. In proportion to how we follow Christ’s labor in us in wisdom and prudence is the same proportion we will live in the realm of “SPIRITUAL AND NOT USUALLY MATERIAL” abundance and superabundance. This is the normal mode of God’s operation.
Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For(INTO THE FELLOWSHIP) the perfecting of the saints( mended, repaired, furnished and equipped) for(INTO) the work of the ministry,(INTO THE MINISTRY AS PERTAINING TO GIFTINGS, MINISTRIES AND CALLINGS) for the edifying of the body of Christ:
He gave the five-fold ministry as gifts. To bring all the members of the church to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ so that we may come into the unity of the faith.
Through them all the members should be made capable of performing their several parts for the church may be built up in its completeness. For the purpose of furnishing every believer for their particular service and their particular contribution in building up Christ’s body. It is the view to the full equipping of the saints. Only then can the fullness of the glory of God be brought.
Perfecting: to mend as mending the holes in a fisherman’s net.
Matthew 4:21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
To outfit, equip, repair.
The equipping is to put every believer into the particular work of his or her office or ministry. It is the endowment of believers in any local assembly with all that they spiritually require to become fully equipped and successfully carry out their ministries and callings.
Believers must be mended, repaired, furnished and equipped, and then be raised up so that they can bring forth the glory of the Lord through their ministries, whether in their local assembly, or in the mission field. This is the function of any local body.
This is why I say that the church should run much more as a school, and much less as a place where pew sitters come to hear a sermon. Home churches
“For the work of the ministry” . Our Greek text reads really like this. “Into the work of ministries and offices.”
This believer now, who has been equipped for his or her particular ministry can now in turn supply their specific contribution to the building up of the body of Christ.
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man(the church is the spiritual man, Christ Jesus), unto the measure of the stature of the fullness (the whole essence of God) of Christ:
In verse thirteen the Greek word “unity” is defined as unanimity. This refers to harmony that has been created through agreement on spiritual issues. For us to achieve practical unity as believers upon on earth, we must reach a point of spiritual unanimity. This is an issue of the spirit. We must become one in spirit. I believe that unanimity of the faith can be only achieved through believers that have allowed the cross of Christ to touch and transform every part of their lives. As the cross of Christ kills off what is of the old nature, the Lord Jesus is revealed and created in the believer. Unanimity or unity comes about because there is the “One and Same Man Christ Jesus” created in all of us. Unity among believers, is really unity into the revelation of the same Person Jesus Christ dwelling in each of us.
“and of the knowledge of the Son of God” . Here we find the same word “epiginosko;” the complete, thorough and accurate knowledge.
“unto ( or into) a perfect man.” This is why is says that the church is man. Who is this perfect man? This man is no one else than Christ Jesus Himself. The word perfect describes a fully-grown man. Unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ is the description of what makes this man perfect.
The measure of the height or stature of the perfections of Christ, is this perfect man. The church, made up of believers must represent this perfect man.
Until we arrive at, or attain to. All members must come to their proper unity and maturity.
Oneness of faith in Christ, and into a full and exact knowledge of the Son of God.
Participation and peak efficiency in ministry brings us into a mutual vision, and understanding of our faith in Christ or the particulars of our walk with Christ. Our comprehension and oneness in the particulars of our walk with Christ brings us into an oneness of revelation of the Christ.
The glory of God is displayed through the efficiency and activity of each members, obedience and ministry before God.
The person of Christ is revealed in the local body and this brings us into a and exact knowledge of the son of God.
The fullness of the knowledge of the Son fills that body with all of His fullness.
As the fullness of Christ is revealed and we come to know and understand, we all grow up into the maturity of God. A perfect man is a full-grown man. The church as a full-grown man can fully bring forth the glory of God and subsequent revival.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
The church is transformed as it sees the revealed spiritual man Christ Jesus in its midst.
The world is transformed as it sees the revealed spiritual man Christ Jesus in the church.
Romans 15:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
Greek: The prophetic scriptures (or by the same token, words of prophecy) reveal the Person of Christ who dwells within us in a mystery form. Christ must be preached in this way. The revelation of both His Person, and the gospel, is what establish us in the faith. The reason Christ is revealed through prophetic preaching is to cause the nations to become saved and to obey Him. This obedience is one that is by faith.
God has the ability to strengthen you, and to make you firm and fast in your faith, (by my gospel and the preaching of the Person of Jesus Christ) only in proportion to the revelation of the mystery (which is the revealed Person of Christ.)
Christ is revealed through the prophetic scriptures (prophets and prophecy reveal Christ) by the commandment of the everlasting God. This revelation of Christ is made known unto all the nations so that Christ may be obeyed by faith.
