God’s Resident Power
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power ( DUNAMIS) to us-ward (FUNNELED INTO) who believe ( CONTINUALLY BELIEVING) , according to the working( ENERGY PUT OUT) of his mighty ( INNER SPIRITUAL STRENGTH) power,(EXTERNAL DOMINION)
What is the throwing beyond (homerun) greatness of His dunamis power funneled into us the ones believing according to the energy that is put out as God’s inner spiritual strength is translated into external dominion.
Dunamis power is the inherent power within every created being, living, and non-living.
God has His own inherent dunamis power.
Disease has its own type of dunamis power.
Dunamis power is what distinguishes one object from the other, and gives to its life and power.
20 Which he wrought (ENERGIZED) in Christ, when he raised him from the dead (CORPSE), and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Which He energized (PAST TENSE) in Christ when He raised Him out of a corpse…..
Working in verse nineteen, and wrought in verse twenty are exactly the same root word; ENERGY; Working, is the noun, energy.
Wrought is the verb to energize.
The definition of God’s DUNAMIS POWER was the energy that was “put out” (in the historical event 2000 years ago), as Christ was raised up from a corpse and made to sit far above in rank, power, and physical distance over all principalities, powers, and might, dominions, and all names which are named both in heaven and upon the earth.
Christ was charged up with this charge. He is a charged battery. He is the supreme energizer bunny, to put it in a funny way.
The charge in Christ will be defined in verse twenty one.
Christ lives in this charged condition in us.
This dunamis power was once and for all energized INTO CHRIST. Because Christ lives in us, so does this DUNAMIS POWER.
However the living reality of this dunamis power, as it is funneled or manifested into us comes in proportion to our faith.
The Properties of God’s Resident Power
21 Far above all principality (BEGINNING), and power(AUTHORITY), and might, (DUNAMIS POWER) and dominion( LORDSHIP OR BONDAGE), and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Far above in rank, power, and physical distance
Every type of principality – Or the beginning of every created thing
We know a principality to be a demonic being.
However, in the NT, the word principality is also used for a physical beginning, the creation of something, and the root source of something.
The dunamis power of God in Christ, which is charged in Him, is far above in rank and power, above every root problem such as generational sins, curses, judgments, and the root causes and beginnings in diseases. This is very important to us when we minister. A simple knowledge of this facet of God’s power will allow us to exercise God’s power with a new level of faith.
Authority: Power of choice; liberty to do as one pleases; jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road within a state; the power of rule and government
Authority is the power of choice; or the liberty to do as one pleases. Such is the jurisdiction enjoyed by a state policeman over every road and highway within the state.
Cancer has its own authority, in that it can spread at will throughout the human body.
However the authority found in Christ’s dunamis power has an authority far above in rank and power over that of cancer. By our words, as they are tempered or alloyed 50/50 with faith, the kingly sway, the power of choice, or the liberty of action to command the cancer where we please, is available to us.

Dunamis power: The inherent power in every created thing that defines it and gives to it its life.
Dunamis power is the inherent power exclusive, to every created thing. Water, has an inherent power of its own, which gives to it its life, and defines it as water exclusive of any another object. Cancer has another type of dunamis power. God has His own dunamis power. The dunamis or inherent power of Christ resident in us is far in rank and power above the inherent power of any other created object. Hallelujah!
When we minister, we know that Christ’s inherent power will subordinate, subjugate and destroy the inherent power sustaining the evil that we are ministering against.
The inherent or dunamis power of something gives to it life, glory, and honor. Cancer, though evil in nature, has its own evil glory and honor.
The word, “to rebuke” is defined as “UPON THE HONOR.” When we rebuke cancer in JESUS NAME, we are heaping Christ’s power to bear upon the honor of the root source of the cancer, the liberty that it exercises and the very inherent power that makes it up and gives to its life.
Lordship- Someone or something which can bring into bondage.
And every name that identifies something for what it is exclusive of anything else.
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
All these Christ subordinated and subjected under His feet. When God gave Christ to be head over these things to the church; this same power is now available to us.
1 Cor 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down ( TO CAUSE SOMETHING TO BECOME NON OPERATIONAL AND NON WORKING SO THAT IT MUST BE JUNKED!!) all rule and all authority and power.
Jesus will give the kingdom to God and the Father only when He shall have rendered totally ineffective (as an old car with an old engine, that finally breaks down and ceases to function any more, and must be junked) every type of principality and roots sources of all evils, all authorities or jurisdictions which are not from God, and every type of inherent power that gives life, function, glory, and honor to every type of evil.
Let us look at a few more examples of Christ’s power cutting the spark plug wires, destroying the distributor cap, and junking the inherent life, glory and honor of other things.
Romans 3:31 Do we then make void (TO CAUSE THE LAW TO BECOME NON OPERATIONAL AND NON WORKING SO THAT IT MUST BE JUNKED!!) the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. (TO MAKE IT FIRM AND STABLE.)
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed (NON OPERATIONAL, NON WORKING, AND JUNKED)that henceforth we should not serve sin.
1 Corinthians 1:28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought (NON OPERATIONAL NON WORKING AND JUNKED!!) things that are:
1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed (NON OPERATIONAL, NON WORKING, AND JUNKED!!) is death.
Corinthians 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away (NON OPERATIONAL, NON WORKING, AND JUNKED!!)
2 Corinthians 3:11 For if that which is done away (NON OPERATIONAL, NON WORKING, AND JUNKED!!) was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy (NON OPERATIONAL, NON WORKING, AND JUNKED!!) him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
How God’s Resident Power Operates
In the cartoons of Popeye the sailor man, Popeye would eat a can of spinach, which gave to him inner strength as to his being. This strength was manifested as bulging muscles and an outward dominion, domination, that could subjugate and wipe out Bluto, his enemy.
God’s power acts in the same fashion. God’s dunamis power is defined as the product of the dominion that God exerts over His creation, and over all that is not of Him, as a measure of His inner strength.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power (OUTWARD DOMINION) of his might.( INNER STRENGTH)
Be empowered in the Lord and in the display of outward dominion as a measure of His inner residing strength.
Col 1:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious (GLORY) power(DOMINION), unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Strengthened with all dunamis power according to the dominion His glory
Eph 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened (STRENGTHENED WITH DOMINATING OR SUBJUGATING STRENGTH) with might (AS SEEN IN HIS DUNAMIS POWER) by his Spirit in ( AS IT IS FUNNELED INTO) the inner man;
In order that He may give you according to the riches of His glory, dunamis power in its facet of dominion by His Spirit to be funneled into our inner man
Principles of God’s Energy
Energy
Ephesians 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, (ACCORDING TO THE ENERGY RELEASED OR PUT FORTH AS HIS INNER STRENGTH IS DISPLAYED AS OUTWARD DOMINION)
God’s energy is put forth, or released, as His indwelling strength becomes transferred into external dominion. This release of energy is called dunamis power.
Phillip 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working (ENERGY) whereby he is able ( HE HAS THE CAPACITY) even to subdue ( SUBORDINATE IN MILITARY ORDER) all things unto himself.
According to the energy by which He is capable and able to subordinate in a military fashion every type of thing unto Himself.
One aspect of God’s energy is to subordinate what is not of Him and then to break down, make useless and junk what is not Him.
1 Cor 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Jesus will give the kingdom to God and the Father only when He shall have rendered nonoperational and totally ineffective (as an old car with an old engine, that finally breaks down and ceases to work anymore and must be junked) every type of principalities and roots sources of all evils, all authorities which are not from God, and every type of inherent power that gives life and function to every type of evil.
In the OT God desired to have a land, in this case Canaan, from which His kingdom could operate. Joshua’s commission was to drive out the evil inhabitants of the land so that the land of Canaan could be cleared and the uncontested rule of God could take place.
Today, God does not have a land from where His kingdom’s works can be launched. The believer is His land.
In proportion to how free the believer is, defines the success of God’s kingdom.
In First Cor. 15:24, as well as Rev 12:10 we see that the kingdom is successful to how much principalities, authorities and powers are PUT DOWN and the devil likewise is CAST DOWN.
IN this case these operations must take place in the believer’s life through whom the works of the kingdom operate.
It is in proportion to the dunamis power operating through the believer that these operations of deliverance will be successful, since it is God’s dunamis power that affects them.
1 Corinthians 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh ( ENERGIZES) all in all.(ALL ASPECTS WITHIN EVERY OBJECT IN HIS CREATION)
An OPERATION is a work of God which is one hundred and eight degrees opposed to the working in God as to when HE CAUSES SOMETHING TO BECOME NON OPERATIONAL AND NON WORKING SO THAT IT MUST BE JUNKED!!)
1 Corinthians 12:10 To another the working ( OPERATION) of miracles ( DUNAMIS POWER (plural); to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
God’s dunamis power at the same time makes totally effective and fully operational the things that belong to His kingdom. These are called “operations” or“workings’.
God by His dunamis power renders non-operational, breaks down, and junks all that is not of Him.
By that same dunamis power God renders fully functional and fully operational the works of His kingdom.
Where the energy of God found in His dunamis power subjugates and dominates and junks what is not of Him, that same energy takes the invisible works of the kingdom, transfers or energizes them through us, and makes them fully operational and effective to accomplish what He wants to in our visible world. This is called an operation as found in 1Corinthians 12: 6, or a working as found in 1 Corinthians 12:10.
A miracle then, is one type of fully functional and fully effective work of God in our visible world that had once been an invisible work of the kingdom of God in the supernatural world.
Eph 3:7 Whereof I was made a minister (DIAKONOS), according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
The minister of God as a diakonos is the believer in his or her service to God in accordance to their spiritual giftings, ministries and callings.
The believer, as a diakonos, must minister step by step with the GRACE of God, which is Christ laboring within them. As we minister step by step with Christ’s labor, His dominion subdues and renders ineffective all that is not of Him, so that His kingdom can be freely and unhindered brought forth through the believer.
The invisible works of the kingdom become visible through the spiritual gifts. I
The charismatic gifts, and the signs and the wonders, are the outward display of the energy that Christ puts forth or releases as He labors within us (GRACE). They are displayed as operations.
Charismatic gifts, and signs and wonders are the totally effective and fully operational works of the invisible kingdom. What makes them fully operational is that through the energizing power of God they carry out in our physical world what God intended for them to perform and what they were already in the invisible supernatural world.
Col 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working (ENERGY), which worketh (IS ENERGIZED) in me mightily( IN DUNAMIS POWER) .
Whereunto I labor to the point of exhaustion, just in the same way that a spiritual athlete would agonize in competitions according to the energy that is effectively put forth by Christ dunamis power as he labors within me (GRACE).
Laboring according to Christ’s energy allows its two functions work within us. PUTTING DOWN and SUBDUING what is not of Him and making FULLY OPERATIONAL what is of Him.
Galatians 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually(THAT ENERGIZED) in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty(ENERGIZED) in me toward( AS I FUNNELED (His ministry) INTO) the Gentiles:)
He that energizes by His power into the apostles to subdue and make ineffective (PUT DOWN) what is not of Him and make effective and fully operational (OPERATIONS) the works of the kingdom likewise does exactly in the same way IN US today. Hallelujah!
1 Cor 12:11 But all these worketh ( ENERGIZES) that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing( (DISTRIBUTING) to every man severally as he will (COUNSELS ).
All of these things continually energizes the one and the same Spirit dividing separately to each as He counsels.
Principles of God’s Power in Healing

Mighty works and miracles in the NT Greek are defined as dunamis powers (plural), or “works of dunamis powers”
Eph 1:21Far above all principality (BEGINNING), and power(AUTHORITY), and might, (DUNAMIS POWER) and dominion( LORDSHIP OR BONDAGE), and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
A miracle is an OPERATION of DUNAMIS POWER. The OPERATION is what makes the work fully operational and effective in the physical world. The DUNAMIS POWER, in this case being God’s, is FAR ABOVE in rank and distance above all root beginnings, bondages, jurisdiction, inherent power, and every name that is named, of anything else in which it is ministered into.
As an act of dunamis power, the miracle, becomes a miracle, in that it suspends all natural laws through the properties of God’s dunamis power as defined in Eph 1:21 and because it is an operation of God as defined in 1 Cor 12:10
Mat 11:20 Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works ( DUNAMIS POWERS) were done, because they repented not:
Where became through Jesus the works (plural) of dunamis power.
Mat 11: 21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
If became the works of dunamis power (plural)
Mat 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
In absolutely no way could (Jesus) do there many works of dunamis power through their vacuum of faith.
Mat 14:2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth ( ENERGIZED) themselves in him.
This is John the Baptist who has been raised from the corpse, and through this, works of dunamis power are continually and actively energized in him.
Mat 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing( INTUITIVE KNOWLEDGE) the scriptures, nor the power of God.
You continually err (from the word for “planet” which means to wander), by not instinctively knowing the scriptures and the dunamis power of God.
Knowing by intuition is in the Greek perfect tense. This means that the Lord expects us to have a very accurate awareness of His voice and a very close intimacy with Him so that we may know Him by intuition, which is being led by the Holy Spirit.
Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue( DUNAMIS POWER) had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
Fully and accurately knowing within (Knowledge by learning and experience) Himself, that out of Him (Jesus being the root source of the power) dunamis power had issued, flowed, and emanated out. This teaches us how we must continue to grow and learn about and become proficient in God’s power.
Mark 6:2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Such works of dunamis power through the agency of His hands are continually accomplished by Jesus constant activity to obey the Father, and not out of passivity or disobedience.
Mark 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
In absolutely no way was He was capable, and able, there to do any work of power except to lay his hands on a few sick, and He healed them.
Mark 6:6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
And he marveled continually at their vacuum of faith.
Mark 9:39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
Actively do a work of power upon the foundation of My Name (or within the limits of Christ’s rhema word in the situation.)
Luke 4:36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
What type of word is this? Because in the world of authority (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases; full jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road and highway within a state; the power of rule and government) and God’s inherent dunamis power, which is greater than the inherent power in the unclean spirits, (He with a word,) militarily commands them, and they come out by their own means. (In that the word had adversely affected them)
Luke 5:17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to (INTO) heal them.
And the Lord’s dunamis power was present and was being funneled with the objective of curing.
Luke 6:19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
And the whole crowd sought earnestly, continually, and without ceasing to touch Him, because dunamis power (singular) continually and without ceasing issued, flowed, and emanated out, and continually and without ceasing cured all.
Luke 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
I know by learning, that dunamis power (singular) issued, flowed, and emanated out from me.
Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
He gave them once and for all the inherent power of God (mightier than the inherent power resident within any evil thin and containing all the properties found in Eph 1:21) and the authority (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases; full jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road and highway within a state; the power of rule and government) (to use God’s dunamis power effectively over every other evil inherent dunamis power) upon the demons and diseases and sicknesses in order to heal them in the present tense.
Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth (Greek literal translation: To supply and equip a chorus of singers (To equip a substantial number of people shows us that the supply of the Holy Spirit for us ample and at the same time constant) ) to you the Spirit, and worketh (ENERGIZES) miracles( WORKS OF DUNAMIS POWER) among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
The one who continually and amply supplies to you the Spirit and continually energizes works of dunamis power in you, does He do it out of the works belonging to the law or out of a hearing that is prompted and carried out step by step totally by faith?

The “homerun” greatness of His dunamis power, which is funneled into us the ones who constantly believe (without doubting).
Philippians 3: 10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
That I may progressively know Him better through learning about Him and His dunamis power as it is manifested by His resurrection within me, and the koinonia of His sufferings.
All of this is accomplished, as I am metamorphosised (from a caterpillar to a butterfly) with Him into all that comprised His physical, emotional, and spiritual death, while He was here on earth.
Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Who being the “shining forth,” of a light coming from a luminous body (Vine) and the “out-raying” (Vincent) of God’s glory, and the very character of what makes up the foundation and essence of who God is, continually bearing all things by the rhema word which defines the acts of His dunamis power to us humans.
Principles of God’s Authority in Healing
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
We are NOW CLOTHED with Christ. Likewise, in accordance to Galatians 2:20, we are dead and Christ now lives in us. The “I” in us is no longer you and me. The “I” in us, is now Christ.
If we minister in accordance to the voice of God (His rhema word), it becomes Christ who is ministering, it becomes Christ who is touching people, and it is Christ who is laying His hands upon people. We must believe by faith that His dunamis power and authority are at work.
Mat 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
He gave to them as an accomplished event in the timeline of history (“a done deal”), authority (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases; full jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road and highway within a state; the power of rule and government) over spirits which are corrupt and defiled as to their nature, so as to presently and continually drive or kick them out, and to continually and presently heal every type of disease, sickness, and every infirmity, debility, and bodily weakness.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Jesus spoke to them saying, it has been given to Me every type of authority (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases; full jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road and highway within a state; the power of rule and government) in the world of heaven, and upon the earth.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Lo, I presently give to you the authority (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases; full jurisdiction such as a state police has over every road and highway within a state; the power of rule and government) to continually trample upon serpents and scorpions and crush them with your feet, and upon all the inherent dunamis power that gives to the enemy his life, and makes him into what he is; and absolutely nothing, in any wise, will hurt you (as to cause you to suffer spiritually).

Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Having totally pushed off and separated from Himself, by disarming, every type of evil principality and (also all evil creations, roots, and beginnings) and authorities which are not from Him, (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases), Jesus made an example of them…
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God, our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Glory (the ability to be made visible through His attributes,), greatness, dominion to subjugate and subordinate all which is not from Him, and authority (Absolute power of choice; total liberty to do as one pleases), both now, and into all the types of ages to come, Amen.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
And He is the head of the body, the church, (or the assembly of “called out ones” in order to serve God’s purposes). He is the beginning, the root source, and the creation. This is because He has become first in rank, influence and honor by being the first one to be raised from the dead (in God’s economy of redeeming all that had been lost by sin, through Christ, by resurrection). This Christ did, so that He can come to hold the first place in all things.
Principles of Faith in Healing
Matthew 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
The word “as” has a powerful connotation in New Testament scriptures. It is defined by some of the following terms; As, like, even as, just like, in the same way, and a carbon copy of.
When we ask in Jesus’ Name, our request must be very specifically targeted to what we want. From the rhema word that Jesus grants us in His name, we find ourselves with a host of things that we can request from the Lord within the sphere of the rhema word. Any specific point that we target our request for, believing, which is void of the two types of doubting taught above, we will receive as a specific carbon copy or reduplication of what we requested.
The specific thing that we ask for believing is the specific thing that we receive.
When we stand in faith for a miracle, it is very important that we keep our belief alive in the very specifics that we desire to obtain from the Lord. We must remember that our belief will only come from the heart if it has been given to us out of heaven and falls within the boundaries that we can obtain in accordance to the rhema word that God has given to us.
Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.( LET IT BECOME OR BE CREATED FOR YOU)
In Matthew nine and twenty-nine the “according to your faith” is very similar to the word “as”. In other words we will receive from the Lord in proportion to our faith. Receiving is a matter of degrees. The more is the proportion of our faith, to believe without doubting, the greater will be the proportion of our receiving. Our faith, or lack thereof, directly limits what we will receive or not receive from the Lord.
We must be careful to target our belief in the scope of what the Name of Jesus promises to us and ask with a faith that is great enough to leave no room for doubt. We receive only what we specifically target for, and what is targeted for we will be received in equal proportion to the greatness of our faith.
Mat 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw (PHYSICALLY GLANCING AT) the wind boisterous (WITH STRENGTH), he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Faith prohibits the physical looking at any circumstance. It must operate strictly by the voice of God. In this case it was the command of Jesus to Peter “to come”.
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
What is the throwing beyond (homerun) greatness of His dunamis power funneled into us the ones believing
Ephesians one and nineteen is a very important principle in physical healing, in that the proportion of God’s power to heal is funneled into the situation in proportion to our continual believing without doubting.
Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
If you have the ability to believe for something, without allowing for a chronic pattern of doubt to set in, that very thing that you believe for becomes transformed into something, mighty and strong and powerful and capable to obtain what you are seeking for.
Mark nine and twenty three is a very similar principle to Luke one and nineteen above, in that in the situation that we can believe for without doubting it becomes powerful and capable to carry out through the power of God that is funneled into it.
Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
Greek paraphrase: God is capable and able, and mighty and strong to successfully carry out His will in every affair in heaven and upon the earth.
In the ministry of healing we must see that God has the capacity and the ability to carry out His will in absolutely every affair and difficulty within the universe. Luke eighteen and twenty seven below is very similar principle.
Luke 18:27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
Greek paraphrase: In all those things that people find impossible to carry out because they have no power, God is able and capable, and strong and mighty to accomplish.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
As you are praying to God, no matter how many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, if you ask them with and attitude of belief which allows for no doubt to set in, you shall receive in the future.
Mat 21:22 is a vital scripture in the ministry of healing, in that it centers upon our very requests and prayers, and makes every healing possible if it has been given to us out of heaven.
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
If you believe without doubting that the content of what you speak comes to pass at the moment that you speak it, as many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are that make up that content, it will come into existence for you.
It is important to remember however, that faith that obtains in asking and speaking can only come from what the Father has given to us out of heaven. This is what it means to pray in THE NAME OF JESUS. Look we me at a scripture about answered prayer.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Every type of thing that you ask in prayer, that you believe that while praying, you received it in your heart at the moment of your request, it shall become a reality to you in the future.
Remember, that scriptural receiving entails obtaining, possessing and making our own within our hearts so as to affect a transformation.
Luke 1:1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
We must be absolutely and fully persuaded of every affair that pertains to Christ and the good news.
Acts 27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
I have continual faith in God that it shall be in accordance to the way that (in proportion to how accurately I understood what) the Lord uttered prophetically to me.
Acts 11:12 And the Spirit bade me go with them, nothing doubting. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered into the man’s house:
In absolutely nothing wavering between God’s voice and the appearance of the circumstances.
Luke 1:20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.
God’s words are filled up into the season of time that belongs to them. In other words, God fulfills His words in the proper season of time that belongs to their fulfillment. Our responsibility is to believe without doubting.
Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Greek: (The English is incorrect) Every rhema word has the resident dunamis power to carry it to its successful accomplishment.
Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
Happy is she having believed because there shall be a perfecting, maturing, completion and consummation of the things that God has uttered by His Spirit.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
No matter how many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, if requested in accordance to His rhema word Jesus will perform for you. This is one way that Jesus becomes glorified.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
No matter how many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, if requested in accordance to Jesus rhema word you will most definitely get in the future. This is one way that we bear fruit or the Lord.
Matthew 8:13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
The so be it done unto thee” is in the Greek imperative mood or the mood of command. The faith of the centurion has God’s inherent authority to command circumstances to change and line up in accordance to what the centurion specifically targeted for in his request.
Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Likewise we find the same situation with the faith of the blind men.
The “be it unto you” is in the Greek imperative mood. In reality what Jesus tells them is that their faith commanded the circumstances that kept them blind to change and line up into God’s normalcy for vision.
Matthew 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Great is your faith. Your faith has commanded the future circumstances to line up and submit to and finally give to you what you desire.
Matthew 9:22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
Hath made thee whole is in the Greek perfect tense. The faith of the women completely healed her with the results that her healing is secure from now, the future, and until the time of her natural death, unless she sins and opens up a door to the enemy
Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Here Jesus tells the woman “Thy faith has cured you now and forevermore.” The faith itself accomplished it with a completed and everlasting result. Jesus then tells the woman; “Immediately go into a continual and enduring state of shalom peace brought about by being whole and sound from your plague.
Mark 10:52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Through this I tell you that as many things, whatsoever they are, or as great as, as far as, how much, how many they are, while in praying to God, you request, believing that you have obtained them, possessed them, and made it your very own at the moment of your asking, shall become a reality in the future for you
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive
How many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, requested from God without doubt, you shall obtain, posses, and make it into an integral and real part of our life in the future.
Gal 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
The promises of God are given to us when we live out of faith.
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Request continually in the present and it shall be given to you in the future, seek with endeavor continually in the present, and you shall find in the future, knock in the present continually, and it shall be opened to you in the future.
Mat 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
God will give in the future, useful, salutary, pleasant, agreeable, joyful, happy, excellent, distinguished, upright, and honorable things to the ones who continually request from Him in the present.
Mat 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree (Greek: SYMPHONY) on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
If two of you can come into a spiritual symphony (AGREEMENT OF VOICES) upon the earth, about any affair that you may ask from the Lord, it shall be done by the Heavenly Father.
John 11:22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.
How many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, that Jesus requested from God, The Father gave to Him.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
How many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, that we may ask in the Name of Jesus (according to the scope of requests under the umbrella of His rhema word), Jesus will most decidedly do for us in the future. This is one way that Jesus is glorified or made visible to us.
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
Anything that you ask in My Name (according to the scope of requests under the umbrella of My rhema word), this I will most decidedly do for you in the future.
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
How many are the things, whatsoever they are, or how great, and difficult, and much they are, that we may ask the Father in the Name of Jesus (according to the scope of requests under the umbrella of His rhema word), He will most decidedly give to us in the future.
John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Hitherto you have absolutely not requested. Request presently, and continually, and you shall obtain. This will cause your joy to be made full with an impact that will last forever through what you have received.
1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
Whatsoever we continually ask from our own will, we continually receive from Him, because His commandments we continually observe, guard, and obey, and the things pleasing before His sight we continually do.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
This is the boldness, godly bluntness, candor, and transparency of relationship that we enjoy in our fellowship with the Father, that in anything that we may ask from Him according to His will, He continually hears those requests. In other words, because we ask in accordance to His will always, He hears us at all times, giving us our boldness in fellowship and relationship with Him.
1 John 5: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
We can know instinctually then, that God always hears us when we ask in accordance with His will. We also instinctually can be assured then, that our requests we presently have (from Him)
Jesus Ministry of Healing
Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching (to proclaim with such an authority, formality, gravity of character, and the power of God, that people obeyed) and the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
Continually healing every type of disease and sickness and every infirmity, debility and weakness.
Matthew 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people( Miserable and ill) that were taken with divers (Various) diseases and torments(Those being tormented, afflicted, and tortured by the acute pains of the diseases) and those which were possessed with devils( Demonized (a verb), and those which were lunatick,(Epileptic (struck by the moon)) and those that had the palsy( Paralytic) ; and he healed them.( Greek aorist (past) tense; once and for all)
Miserably sick and ill
Those having variegated sicknesses and diseases
Those being tormented, afflicted, and tortured by the acute pains of the diseases,
The demonized,
The epileptic (struck by the moon)
The paralytics
And He healed them
Mat 10:1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power authority (Absolute power of choice over demons, disease and sickness; total liberty to do as one pleases with every demon, disease, and sickness;).against unclean spirits, to cast them out (drive them out, send out, expel, compel to depart, and drive away by force; all in a continual basis) and to heal all manner( Every type ) of sickness( disease) and all manner (Every type) of disease( infirmity, disability and bodily weakness)
Mat 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word ( “A” logos word, not “the” logos word, making it into a rhema word) and healed( Greek aorist (past) tense; once and for all) all that were sick:
Mat 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Greek: I having come will heal him.
This shows us the nature of Jesus, that at every time that He comes, He heals.
Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
And continually healing every type of disease and every type of sickness, disease, infirmity, debility, and weakness.
Matthew 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
Blind (darkened by smoke)
Blunted or lame in tongue or hearing
He healed them
Matthew 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
Crooked in the members of the body, injured, disabled and mutilated; deprived of a limb or an essential part of the body, or the disfigurement of a certain part of the body.
Matthew 17:18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Rebuke – To destroy one’s honor to tax with fault; to scold and reproach and to express stern
The inherent or dunamis power of something gives to it life, glory, and honor. Cancer, though evil in nature, has its own evil glory and honor. The word, “to rebuke” is defined as “UPON THE HONOR.” When we rebuke cancer in JESUS NAME, we are heaping Christ’s power to bear upon the honor of the root source of the cancer, the liberty that it exercises, and the very inherent power that makes it up and gives to its life.
Two of the Three Types of New Testament Healing
Therapeuo (“Therapy”)
Jesus IN MOST CASES exercised this type of healing (therapy) with the masses, those that He did not know, and in many instances, those of which we are not told what their level of faith was.
Mat 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people
24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
Mat 8: 16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
Mat 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
Iaomai (“Total Cure”)
This type of healing was in MOST CASES personal, with those that Jesus had a personal discourse, and in almost every case, the recipient HAD GREAT FAITH.
Mat 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
13 And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Mark 5:28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
Luke 5:17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
Luke 7:7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word.
(Rhema word), and my servant shall be healed.
Luke 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately(INSTANTLY) her issue of blood stanched.
Luke 8:47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. (INSTANTLY)
John 4:46 So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.
47 When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
Restoring Back To Its Original State,
Matthew 12:13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
To restore; is to restore to its former state.
It was restored healthy just like the other
Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored and saw every man clearly.
Luke 6:10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Healing By Touching
Matthew 8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Having stretched out the hand (Past tense), He touched him
Saying (not a prophetical utterance, but the content speech) “I am willing, be cleansed”.
What healed the man was the content of what Jesus said. Of vital importance also is that every time that Jesus cast out a devil, or cured someone, He was not only specific in His content of speech, but AT ALL TIMES He spoke in the imperative mood, or the MOOD OF COMMAND. When Jesus healed or cast out a devil IT WAS ALWAYS with a COMMAND. His command released the absolute jurisdiction of God upon the disease.
Matthew 9:20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
Matthew 9:21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
Matthew 14:36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
Healing Through the Laying on of Hands
Matthew 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.
Mark 6:5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
Luke 13:13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
A Case of Apologetics For Emotional Healing
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because (ON ACCOUNT) he hath anointed (PAST TENSE/ A DONE DEAL) me to preach the gospel (TO ANNOUNCE THE GOOD NEWS) to the poor; he hath sent me ( APOSTOLIC SENDING/ A HEALING CAN ONLY TAKE PLACE WHEN GOD TELLS US TO DO IT) to heal (CURE) the brokenhearted (THE SHIVERED AND BROKEN IN HEART), to preach deliverance to the captives (TO HERALD TO THE CAPTIVES ( COULD BE LOST PEOPLE AS WELL)), WITH A FORMALITY, GRAVITY, AND POWER OF GOD THAT MUST BE OBEYED AND THAT WILL SAVE THEM), and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,( TO APOSTOLICALLY SEND THE SHATTERED INTO A PLACE OF RELEASE AND FORGIVENESS)
