Luke 8: 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
The seed is the written Word of God, and His counsels and His wisdom
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Then comes the devil and physically, mentally and spiritually lifts and carries away the Logos written word from their hearts that through the lack of ability and energy of the now missing Logos they may not receive salvation. (How many times do we have a lack of the Word in us because of busyness and its ability is not seen and we remain in bondage.)
1Th 2:13 For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works ( which word continually energizes in you through its own actions) in you who believe.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
These, root never bear. The root is what hooks us to something so that we can get a foundation. Many do not even allow the hooking root to form. In the good season they receive with joy. In the season of trial because there was not root they release themselves from following the Lord.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
By the anxieties, riches and hedonistic pleasures found in their daily living, they become utterly suffocated and chocked and are not able to bring anything concerning the Lord into maturity and completion.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
To keep the Word means to grasp it, retain it and make it our own; make it real. This is the way that the Logos must be followed. As they do so they bring salvation to themselves always in the realm of endurance. God requires endurance from us as we retain His things under ever season and bring forth fruit.
Luke 16: 10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
The one who is faithful in the very least and the most inferior of all things ……whoever is unjust and dishonest in the in the very least and the most inferior of all things….
11 If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
If in the mammon of dishonesty you are not faithful who will entrust you with the true and genuine?
Luke 24:25 He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
Those of you who do not use your minds in the things of the Lord and are tardy or delayed of heart or that are always tardy or delayed to believe the things of the Lord.
